How to root Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 model GT-P3100:Download the root zip file from here. Save it on your PC and do not extract its contents.Next, copy it on your Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 external sdcard, which should be found by opening /mnt and then /extsdcard. Do not copy the root zip file on the internal sdcard as that one cannot be viewed by the CWM Recovery.After the transfer is complete, you have to power off the tablet and disconnect it from your PC.Boot into CWM Recovery screen. This can be done by pressing and holding ‘Volume down’ + ‘Power’ buttons simultaneously.When you notice the Logo you should let go off the Power button, but keep Volume down pressed.
